Amends Section 16-23-410 to remove the word "present" from the prohibition, making it unlawful only to "point" a firearm at another person rather than to "present or point" a firearm

Maintains the existing penalty: a felony conviction punishable by a fine at the court's discretion or imprisonment up to five years

Preserves existing exceptions for self-defense and theatrical performances

Does not affect pending legal actions, prosecutions, or rights established under the previous version of the law

Takes effect upon Governor's approval
