Authorizes school district governing bodies to waive the requirement that public schools make up full days missed due to Hurricane Helene-related closures during the 2024-2025 school year

Requires State Superintendent certification that districts designated at least three make-up days in their calendar, local boards waived up to three days, and the State Board of Education waived up to three additional days beyond that

Mandates districts submit plans for lengthened school days or Saturday classes for future inclement weather events and seek State Department of Education assistance regarding Section 59-1-425

Extends make-up day waivers to home-school programs approved by the board of trustees and charter schools within affected districts

Takes effect upon Governor's approval
