Removes the requirement for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to practice under supervision of a licensed physician or dentist and eliminates the "approved written guidelines" framework that governed CRNA-physician relationships

Grants CRNAs independent prescriptive authority, including Schedule II through V controlled substances, with Schedule II narcotics limited to 24-hour supplies unless the patient is post-operative or in a chronic pain practice

Requires CRNAs seeking prescriptive authority to complete 45 contact hours of pharmacology education, with 15 hours specifically on controlled substances, and maintain 20 hours of continuing education in pharmacology every two years for renewal

Repeals Section 40-47-197, which previously required physician or dentist supervision of CRNAs

Prohibits CRNAs from supervising, training, proctoring, or participating in the clinical education of anesthesiologist assistant students
