Church was organized on April 26, 1900, with land donated by Lafayette Ramage under the condition it be built in view of "his aunt Sallie Bell," giving the church its name

First service held October 13, 1900, in a white wooden building with M.C. Compton as the first pastor

Church expanded over the decades with a new sanctuary (1954), education building (1968), Family Life Center (1981), sanctuary renovations (1982), education building renovations (1998), and children's building (2009)

Honors current Senior Pastor Darren Rood and the congregation for their service to the Laurens community, with a copy of the resolution to be presented to the pastor
