Congratulates four fifth grade students from Laurence Manning Academy—Sadie Gamble, Ellafair DuRant, Railyn Joyner, and Kayden Crisanti—for winning the 2025 Children's Book Challenge group division

The students wrote and illustrated "Uncle Phil and the Electric Adventure," a book about electrical safety featuring a family visiting an electric lineman uncle in "New Pork"

The competition was sponsored by Black River Electric Cooperative and the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina, inviting fourth and fifth graders statewide to create books about electrical safety

The four students split a $500 prize, and their librarian Rebekka Taylor received a $250 prize; the winning book will be printed and distributed to elementary schools throughout South Carolina

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Laurence Manning Academy
