Urges the President of the United States to end tariffs negatively affecting BMW and other critical industries in South Carolina

BMW has invested more than $14.8 billion in Spartanburg since 1992 and is currently undertaking a $1.7 billion expansion for electric vehicle assembly and a new high-voltage battery plant in Woodruff

BMW is the largest automotive exporter by value from the U.S., with approximately $10 billion in exports in 2024, with two-thirds of production coming from the Spartanburg plant since 2014

The company could lose as much as $1.1 billion in 2025 due to tariffs on steel, aluminum, vehicle imports from Mexico, and Chinese electric vehicle tariffs imposed by the European Union

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to the President of the United States
