Celebrates the 39th annual South Carolina Poultry Festival held May 8-10, 2025, in Batesburg-Leesville and honors the planners and participants

Recognizes South Carolina's billion-dollar poultry industry, which employs thousands of citizens and produces eggs, broilers, turkeys, pigeons, quail, and spring chickens

Notes the festival originated in 1986 from an idea by Batesburg-Leesville restaurant owner Sara Shealy and has grown from 20,000 visitors in its first year to over 100,000 attendees in recent years

Festival features include multiple entertainment stages, approximately 30 food vendors, a carnival, a parade with over 100 units, 70+ commercial vendors, 120 crafters, and a chicken cooking contest

Event includes an antique car show, 5K road race, volleyball tournament, street dances, and concludes with a large pyromusical fireworks show
