Honors Columbus Pressley (1876-1970), a community leader who accumulated over 200 acres of land, spearheaded local road improvements, owned a gristmill, and co-founded the first NAACP branch in the Nesmith community in the 1940s

Honors his son Claudie E. Pressley (1926-), a World War II Army veteran who became the first Black assistant fire chief in Williamsburg County's Volunteer Fire Department #6 and owned the Nesmith Corner grocery store

Requires the Department of Transportation to erect appropriate signs or markers with the memorial road name

Received a favorable committee report from the House Invitations and Memorial Resolutions Committee on April 30, 2025
