Allows contractors or companies to repossess removable equipment (such as HVAC systems) installed through consumer credit transactions when a consumer defaults on payment, provided the equipment has UCC identification, model numbers, serial numbers, or similar identifying markings

Requires contractors to provide proper notice and opportunity to cure the default before repossessing equipment, as specified under existing Sections 37-5-110 and 37-5-111 of the S.C. Code

Makes repossession void if proper notice and cure opportunity are not provided, and allows courts to hold contractors liable for conversion in such cases

Adds new Section 37-5-120 to Part 1, Chapter 5, Title 37 of the South Carolina Code of Laws
