Recognizes his 42-year career with the South Carolina Department of Transportation, where he served as residence maintenance engineer of Kershaw County

Acknowledges his community involvement as a baseball coach at Camden High School and American Legion Post 17 from 1981 to 1988, and his membership in Masonic organizations including Kershaw Lodge #29

Extends sympathy from the South Carolina House of Representatives to his surviving family, including his wife Jennie, three sons, two stepsons, twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to the Hammond family
