Congratulates The Woman's Club of Columbia on its 100th anniversary, celebrated on May 27, 2025

Recognizes the organization's founding in May 1925 at the Jefferson Hotel by members of the Civic League who sought to promote educational, artistic, civic, humanitarian, and social causes

Acknowledges the club's service during the Great Depression, World War II (including tin can drives, USO and Red Cross volunteering, and hosting military families at Fort Jackson), and subsequent decades of community support

Notes the club joined the General Federation of Woman's Clubs (GFWC) in 1942 and has provided March of Dimes donations, college scholarships, and various fundraising efforts

Recognizes the club sold its clubhouse to the University of South Carolina and invested the proceeds to provide annual grants to qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations as a lasting legacy
