Recognizes his education at Brevard College (Associate of Fine Arts, 1979) and Berklee College of Music (Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Composition and Arranging), where he received the Quincy Jones Award

Highlights his extensive career including founding The Hartbeat Band (named Best Band in Boston 1981-1982), touring with Rick James and the Stone City Band, and serving as keyboardist/music director for Fred Parris and The Five Satins (1985-1996)

Notes his work as keyboard bassist for Vanessa Williams (1992-1993), appearing on The TODAY Show and Saturday Night Live

Acknowledges his return to South Carolina where he built his home in Saluda and has served churches and community music programs for over twenty-five years
