Requires Tier II and Tier III sex offenders to have "Sex Offender" printed in red on their driver's license or special identification card

Offenders released from the Department of Corrections must obtain the new identifier within 30 days of release

Department of Motor Vehicles may charge a fee for adding the sex offender identifier to licenses or ID cards

Individuals whose sex offender status is terminated may obtain documentation from SLED to remove the identifier from their license

Violations of these requirements constitute a misdemeanor punishable by up to 3 years imprisonment and a fine up to $500
