Family court judges must issue orders within 10 business days after a hearing concludes, or within 7 business days after post-hearing evidence is submitted, whichever is later

Extensions beyond these deadlines require the judge to provide written explanations to parties every 10 days and are limited to extraordinary circumstances that make compliance impracticable

The requirements apply to all matters taken under advisement by the court

Failure to comply may result in judicial review or disciplinary action as provided by law

Adds new Section 63-3-605 to the South Carolina Code of Laws
