Proposes a constitutional amendment requiring candidates for State Senate and House of Representatives to be legal residents of South Carolina for at least 10 years and residents of their district for at least 2 years at the time of filing, applicable to those not elected before 2027.

Requires candidates for statewide executive offices (Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Treasurer, Superintendent of Education, Comptroller General, and Commissioner of Agriculture) to be state residents for at least 10 years preceding election day.

Exempts current officeholders and those elected to the same office before 2027 from the new residency requirements.

Both proposed constitutional amendments would be placed on the ballot at the next general election for representatives for voter approval.
