Expands the definition of "firefighter" under the Firefighter Cancer Healthcare Benefit Plan (Section 23-9-197) to include State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) employees assigned to the Arson Unit

SLED Arson Unit employees who perform arson investigation, fire-scene origin and cause determination, evidence collection, or related law-enforcement functions would now qualify for cancer healthcare benefits

Eligibility is based on routine exposure to the same hazards and carcinogenic environments encountered by firefighters during fire-related investigations

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor
