Recipients must practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) or graduate-prepared nurses in designated nursing shortage areas, providing one year of service per year of funding received

Failure to fulfill service obligations results in repayment penalties ranging from the full amount plus interest to three times the total received, plus interest

Administered by the South Carolina Department of Health, effective July 1, 2027
