Expands work authorization verification options for private employers beyond E-Verify to include the Systematic Alien Verification of Entitlement (SAVE) program and other comparable programs approved by the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce

Requires the SC Department of Employment and Workforce to evaluate employer-proposed work authorization programs and maintain a list of approved programs that meet or exceed the quality of E-Verify and SAVE

Mandates private employers verify work authorization of every new employee within three business days of hiring using an approved program

Employers who fail to comply with verification requirements violate their business licenses

Takes effect upon Governor's approval
