South Carolina House Resolution honoring Coach Kip Herlong of Lake View High School upon his retirement after a 32-year coaching career in baseball and football

Coach Herlong recorded more than 600 career victories in baseball, becoming only the third coach in South Carolina High School League history to reach that milestone, and holds the league record of 49 consecutive wins between 1999-2001

Led the Lake View Wild Gators to eight state championships in baseball, including five consecutive titles from 1997 to 2001, along with fifteen region championships and twelve lower-state crowns

Inducted into the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2024 and named the association's overall coach of the year in 2001

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to Coach Herlong to recognize his legacy of mentoring student-athletes and building character through sports
