South Carolina House Resolution honors Timothy M. "Tim" James, Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Cayce, for his outstanding public service as he concludes his term on Cayce City Council

James served as Chief of Police and Director of Cayce Department of Public Safety, was named Strom Thurmond Police Officer of the Year, and graduated from the FBI National Academy and JFK School of Government at Harvard University

First elected to Cayce City Council in 2010, served until 2015, then returned via a 2020 special election to represent District 1

As CEO of the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce, James led the organization through financial challenges to achieve accreditation and receive the 2024 Chamber of Commerce of the Year award from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to Tim James in recognition of his leadership and community service
