Vaughn served 26 years with the U.S. Probation Office, beginning December 4, 1999, after earning a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of South Carolina (1994) and a master's degree from Xavier University (1998)

Former chapter president (2010-2011) and board member (2005-2025) of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice, South Carolina chapter

Active community member through Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and the South Carolina Federation of Women and Youth Clubs, where she serves as state first vice president

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to Andrea Massie Vaughn in recognition of her service
