South Carolina House Resolution expressing sorrow upon the death of Carole Jenkins Cooper, who passed away on September 22, 2025, at age 86

Cooper was born in Columbia on February 9, 1939, graduated from Fisk University in 1960, and had a career as a teacher at W.A. Perry Middle School

She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and served St. Luke's Episcopal Church as a lector and lay eucharistic minister

Active in community organizations including The Links, Inc., The Girlfriends, Inc., National Smart Set, Inc., Jack & Jill of America, Inc., and served on the Central Carolina Community Foundation grant selection committee

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to the Cooper family, including her three sons: Noble Percival Jr., Ford Sawyer, and Martin Douglass
