Theresa Tillman retired from the United States District Court of South Carolina on September 30, 2025, after more than 30 years of service beginning September 3, 1990.

Born and raised in Columbia, she graduated from Keenan High School in 1981 and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina in 1985.

Received two Special Services Awards for Outstanding Performance of Duties during her career, one in 2015 and another in 2024.

The South Carolina House of Representatives formally recognizes and honors her distinguished federal court service and extends best wishes for her retirement.
