South Carolina House Resolution recognizes the Honorable Jacqueline G. Jenkins, Chief Magistrate for Dorchester County, upon her retirement from judicial service

Judge Jenkins was appointed as magistrate judge for Dorchester County in May 2006, served concurrently as municipal court judge for the Town of St. George from 2008-2015, and was appointed Chief Magistrate in 2021

Prior to her judicial career, she worked over three decades as a licensed master social worker ensuring the safety of children, older adults, and families in Dorchester County, including fifteen years as county director

She holds degrees from South Carolina State University, a master's in rehabilitative counseling, a doctorate in Christian humanities, and management certifications from Duke University, University of Tennessee, and Crosby Quality College

She is a lifetime member of the South Carolina Summary Court Judges' Association and the National Judicial Association, and maintains South Carolina Magistrate/Municipal Judge Board Certification
