South Carolina House Resolution commending Bishop Jalen De'Vonte Whittleton on his installation as pastor of New Zion Baptist Church in Blackstock, Fairfield County

Bishop Whittleton holds multiple theological degrees including a doctorate in church history from Transfiguration Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (2023) and is currently pursuing a degree in religious studies at Dickerson-Green Theological Seminary

Consecrated to the Bishopric on April 30, 2016, and serves as assistant presiding bishop for the Ecumenical Convergence of Christian Ministries and diocesan prelate of the First Episcopal Diocese of the United Churches of Deliverance Apostolic, Inc.

Featured in TIME Magazine short film "Starting from Scratch" in 2020 and published his first book, "The Burden of Divorce," the same year

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to Bishop Whittleton to recognize this milestone
