South Carolina House Resolution honors Terence Young, a native of Elko, South Carolina, for being named Musician of the Year - Guitar II at the Josie Music Awards held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee

Young began playing guitar at age ten, learning gospel music from his uncles, and started performing professionally at age fifteen while touring the gospel quartet circuit

As leader of the Terence Young Experience band, he has performed alongside major artists including Frankie Beverly and Maze, Gladys Knight, BabyFace, Charlie Wilson, and George Duke

Young has served as guitarist for R&B artists such as Ashford and Simpson, Lenny Williams, Aaron Hall, and Angie Stone, and has performed multiple times at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California

The resolution directs that a copy be presented to Terence Young extending congratulations and best wishes for continued success
