Mt. Joy Holiness Church of Ulmer, South Carolina is being congratulated on its fifty-second anniversary by the South Carolina House of Representatives

The church was established in November 1974 by Elder J.C. Summers Sr. with seven adult members after purchasing a facility from the Mennonites

Following Elder Summers' death in March 1981, Mother Bertha Summers led the church until December 2011, overseeing an expansion that added a pastor's study, social hall, and three restrooms, with rededication on November 16, 1986

Minister Willie Priester was elevated to eldership and installed as pastor in January 2012, presiding over completion of a new church edifice in August 2018

The resolution directs that a copy be presented to Mt. Joy Holiness Church in recognition of more than fifty years of service to God and the community
