David B. Vehaun has served as Rock Hill's city manager since October 2010, completing fifteen years and becoming the city's longest-serving city manager

Before becoming city manager, Vehaun held multiple positions with the City of Rock Hill including assistant city manager, chief financial officer, senior financial analyst, and financial analyst

Vehaun earned a bachelor's degree from Winthrop University in 1986 and a Master of Public Administration from UNC Chapel Hill in 1989, graduating from the Advanced Government Finance Institute at UW-Madison in 1991

He served as past president of both the Government Finance Officers Association of South Carolina and the Municipal Finance Officers, Clerks and Treasurers Association of South Carolina, and held positions on GFOA's National Executive Board

The South Carolina House of Representatives resolution honors Vehaun's service and directs that a copy be presented to him in recognition of a celebration held January 29, 2026
