Linda Ketron is recognized for founding CLASS Publishing, which has released 73 books across genres including children's literature, fiction, history, memoir, poetry, and photography, many focused on South Carolina and Lowcountry subjects

Ketron founded the Moveable Feast program in 1998, a year-round weekly literary luncheon in Georgetown County that has hosted 1,000 writers and attracted over 100,000 readers

The South Carolina House of Representatives congratulates Ketron on receiving the 2025 Frances Mims-Paul Talmadge Literary Advocacy Award, presented April 12, 2025, at the University of South Carolina

Ketron initiated the Waccamaw Neck Bikeway in 1994, resulting in 17 miles of walking and cycling paths connecting Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island

She has served on the Friends of Waccamaw Library board since 1990 in various roles including president and currently edits the FOWL Community Connector e-newsletter
