Requests the South Carolina Department of Transportation to place "988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline" signs on every highway overpass in the state to inform travelers of this mental health resource.

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides free, confidential emotional support 24/7 through a national network of over 200 local crisis centers.

Since launching in July 2022, the 988 Lifeline has answered over 13 million calls, texts, and chats from people needing support across the U.S. and territories.

Studies by Columbia University's Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene show callers feel less suicidal, less depressed, and more hopeful after connecting with 988 counselors.
