Requires all health insurance policies in South Carolina that cover cancer chemotherapy to also cover scalp cooling therapy, including equipment, supplies, headgear, and operation/monitoring services used to prevent chemotherapy-induced hair loss.

Mandates insurers provide written notice to patients when chemotherapy is approved that scalp cooling therapy is available and covered, including a description of the therapy and instructions for obtaining services.

Prohibits chemotherapy treatment facilities from receiving insurance reimbursement unless they offer scalp cooling therapy to all clinically appropriate patients and maintain at least one operational system on site.

Applies to all individual and group health insurance policies, health maintenance organizations, and the State Health Plan issued, delivered, or renewed in South Carolina.

Takes effect six months after the Governor's approval, with the Department of Insurance enforcing coverage requirements and the Department of Health's Bureau of Healthcare Quality establishing facility compliance procedures.
