River Bluff High School's We the People team won the 2025 South Carolina We the People State Championship at the competition held on December 11, 2025

Thirty-two students from River Bluff High School competed, winning best unit in all six units of the competition against one other team in the state

The We the People program, developed in 1976 and sponsored by the South Carolina Bar Association's Law Related Education Division, tests students' knowledge of the U.S. Constitution through simulated Congressional hearings judged by volunteer attorneys

Teacher coaches Linsy Dooley, Meredith Mowles, and Michael Burgess are recognized for preparing students in collaboration, public speaking, civil discourse, and evidence-based argumentation

The South Carolina House of Representatives formally congratulates the team and directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to the three teacher coaches
