Pearl Todd Boyd of Loris, South Carolina is posthumously named Horry Electric Cooperative's 2026 Lady of the Year, with the award to be accepted by her family at a luncheon on February 6, 2026

Boyd dedicated 42 years of service to Loris Healthcare and McLeod Health Systems, receiving the William G. Follmer Bronze Merit Award in 1996 from the Healthcare Financial Management Association

Born February 21, 1945, in Loris, she married Henry Will Boyd in 1963 and raised two daughters on their family farm while supporting her husband's service as a Trustee of Horry Electric Cooperative

She was a charter member of Women Involved in Rural Electrification (WIRE) and served Beulah Baptist Church in multiple roles including secretary-treasurer, church clerk, and Sunday school teacher

The concurrent resolution directs that a copy be presented to the Boyd family in recognition of her achievements and contributions to Horry County
