Green Sea Floyds High School boys cross-country team won their first South Carolina High School League Class A State Championship on November 14, 2025, at the Aiken Steeplechase course

The team finished with 53 points, defeating runner-up Riverwalk Academy (88 points), despite a malfunctioning golf cart sending the leading runners off course and adding a quarter mile to the race

Four Trojans finished in the top ten: Cole Forbus (3rd, 18:05), Damian Rapa (4th, 18:06), Blakeley Mincey (9th, 18:23), and Payton Turner (10th, 18:32)

Head coaches Charles and Phyllis Elvington have led the Green Sea Floyds boys cross-country program for 28 years, earning their first state championship title

The South Carolina House of Representatives directs that copies of this resolution be presented to Principal Nick Harris and coaches Charles and Phyllis Elvington
