Recognizes the Catawba Nation Police Department as an official law enforcement agency in South Carolina under new Chapter 53 of Title 23

Affirms Catawba police officers have the same powers as municipal and county police officers to make arrests for felonies and misdemeanors within Catawba lands (trust and fee simple lands held by the Nation)

Authorizes Catawba officers to arrest persons outside tribal lands during immediate and continuous flight from crimes committed within Catawba lands

Requires Catawba police officers to be at least 21 years old, complete the same training as sheriff's deputies at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, and take an oath to protect state and federal constitutions

Authorizes the Catawba Indian Nation to enter into mutual aid and cross-deputization agreements with state, county, and municipal law enforcement agencies
