South Carolina House Resolution honoring Cherry Lewis Thompson of Conway, who passed away on December 14, 2025, at age seventy-five

Thompson worked for the South Carolina Department of Social Services prior to her retirement, serving the public with compassion and dedication

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Conway and also attended Poplar Community Church

Thompson is survived by her husband, Horry County Sheriff Phillip E. Thompson, three sons, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild

The resolution directs that a copy be presented to the Thompson family expressing the House of Representatives' deepest sympathy
