Taylor Rivers, a freshman on the River Bluff High School Gator Dance Team, was named the 2026 High School Solo State Champion at the South Carolina Dance Association State Dance Team Championship on February 21, 2026, in Rock Hill

Rivers won with a score of 280, defeating over thirty top soloists and besting second place by 1.5 points

The River Bluff Gator Dance Team earned multiple top three finishes in varsity and junior varsity divisions, with all soloists placing in the top ten, marking only the program's second year of competition

The South Carolina House of Representatives formally recognizes and honors Taylor Rivers for this achievement and directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to her
