South Carolina House Resolution expressing profound sorrow upon the death of Charles Danny "Charlie" McLean of Richland County, who passed away on February 19, 2026, at age eighty-seven

McLean served his entire career in law enforcement, including as Chief of Police for the Forest Acres Police Department, Chief of Security at Richland Fashion Mall, and with the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Hospital police department

Born in Ellenton, South Carolina on January 19, 1939, McLean was active in his church as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, elder, choir member, and trustee, and joined the Emmaus Community in 1991

McLean is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Carolyn H. McLean, five children, and seven grandchildren

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to the McLean family
