Requests the Department of Transportation name Moody Road in the Town of Martin, Allendale County (from Millet Road to Patterson Mill Drive) as "Sgt. Orenthial J. 'O.J.' Smith Memorial Road" and erect appropriate markers or signs.

Honors Sgt. O.J. Smith, born September 20, 1981, who enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduating from Allendale-Fairfax High School in 1999 and served as a truck driver with the Army 123rd main support battalion.

Sgt. Smith was killed on June 22, 2003, when his convoy came under attack in Baghdad, just hours after receiving official confirmation of his promotion to sergeant.

Sgt. Smith posthumously received the Bronze Star for heroic meritorious achievement in ground combat and the Purple Heart, and previously had a dining hall named in his honor in Dexheim, Germany.
