Geddis was a first-generation college graduate from Benedict College (1981), member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, and served 30 years as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Universal Benefits Marketing Firm Inc.

Founded "Coats for Kids" initiative providing over 400 coats to children each winter and served as a fundraiser for Lou-Von Family Foundation Inc., helping generate over $100,000 annually

Served as pastor of Burning Bush New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church and founded Infinity Diabetic Medical Supply to provide home medical equipment to patients

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to her family, including her daughter Dr. Ashlye Victoria Wilkerson and two granddaughters
