Jordan Funeral Home in Darlington, South Carolina is being recognized by the South Carolina House of Representatives for 80 years of service to families in Darlington County and surrounding communities

Founded by Washington Jordan in 1942 at its current Lee Street location after the original building was destroyed by fire, with the first funeral service held in September 1942

The business passed through three generations: from founder Washington Jordan to his wife Charlotte Casley Jordan (a licensed embalmer), then to their son Raymond Jordan who operated it until his death in July 2022
