South Carolina House Resolution honoring Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home of Darlington for over 100 years of service to the Pee Dee region

Founded on February 12, 1922, by John Harry "J.H." Kistler, a World War I veteran who served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps

The funeral home relocated to the historic McCown House at Pearl Street and Edwards Avenue, believed to be one of Darlington's oldest homes

J. Todd Hardee and his wife Jenny assumed ownership on January 1, 1999, adding the Hardee name to form Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home
