South Carolina House Resolution expressing sorrow upon the death of Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Peebles Farr of Greenville, who passed on March 12, 2026, at age 92

Founded Betty's School of Dance at age 19 and contributed to numerous Greenville organizations including Clement's Kindness, A Child's Haven, YMCA, South Carolina Children's Theater, and the Salvation Army

Received the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina's highest civilian honor, for her spirit of excellence and dedicated service

Survived by seven children, fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and her partner, former Governor Richard W. Riley

Resolution directs that a copy be presented to her family to extend the deepest sympathy from the House of Representatives
