Darlington Country Club, founded in 1926 under Club President D.T. McKeithan Jr., is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026, having grown from a nine-hole course to a full-service club with an 18-hole course, Olympic-sized pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and renovated clubhouse.

The centennial celebration includes a Centennial Gala, member-member golf tournament, Legacy Dinner, community open house, and holiday celebrations on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekend throughout 2026.

Nucor Steel South Carolina serves as the presenting sponsor and will support Friends of Southern 500 Junior Golf, an organization dedicated to developing young golfers in the Darlington area.

Current owners Tim and Nancy Huntley operate the club, with Mrs. Huntley serving in a leadership and management role in day-to-day operations.

The South Carolina House of Representatives formally recognizes and honors the club's significant contributions to the Darlington County community over the past century.
