Any patient of any age undergoing anesthesia has the right to designate a loved one (guardian, spouse, friend, family member, or domestic partner) to be present during procedures and post-anesthesia recovery

Parents and legal guardians have the right to be present in the back seat during any driving lesson or official driving test taken by their minor child, and instructors cannot deny or penalize students for exercising this right

Medical facilities and driving schools bear full responsibility for making necessary accommodations including policies, equipment, staffing, and insurance coverage to comply with these requirements

Facilities found in violation are subject to fines, license review, and regulatory actions; individuals denied these rights may file grievances with regulatory or civil rights authorities
