Allows individuals applying for an educator certificate to receive experience credit for non-teaching occupational experience related to their teaching content field, at a rate of one year of credit for every two years of full-time relevant work experience

Educators who entered teaching before July 1, 2025, may retroactively apply for additional experience credit by submitting a verification form, with pay adjustments taking effect at the start of the next school year

Experience credit applies solely for advancement on the teacher salary schedule and does not count toward state retirement or health plan service credit

Relevant occupational experience must have been earned after receiving a bachelor's degree, except for individuals seeking work-based certification

State Department of Education must develop implementation guidelines and a verification form within 180 days of the Governor's approval, without adding new staff positions
