Prohibits the intentional injection, release, dispersion, or emission of chemicals, substances, or apparatus within South Carolina's borders for the purpose of affecting temperature, weather, or sunlight intensity (geoengineering)

Amends existing air quality law (Section 48-1-110) to add the geoengineering prohibition alongside current rules against discharging air contaminants that cause undesirable levels

References concerns that the federal government or entities acting on its behalf may conduct geoengineering experiments by dispersing chemicals into the atmosphere within South Carolina

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor
