Allows firefighters to transport patients to healthcare facilities in non-ambulance vehicles during emergencies, regardless of whether the firefighter holds an emergency medical services license

Requires firefighters to notify the appropriate emergency medical service provider of the patient's condition before transporting

Only permits non-ambulance transport when licensed ambulances are insufficient or unavailable to provide emergency medical services at the patient's location

Adds this firefighter exemption to existing exemptions from emergency medical services regulations, which already cover federal ambulances, disaster assistance vehicles, Good Samaritan situations, and out-of-state ambulances during emergencies

Takes effect upon Governor's approval
