Recognizes and commends the Honorable Alex Kinlaw Jr., former judge of the 13th Judicial Circuit, upon his retirement from the bench on December 31, 2024

Judge Kinlaw served as a Family Court resident judge beginning in 2009 and as a 13th Judicial Circuit judge starting in 2018, including presiding over the Juvenile Drug Court from 2011-2018

Prior to joining the bench, Kinlaw practiced law in Greenville and Greenwood counties, became certified to handle death-penalty cases as lead counsel in four cases, and worked as an assistant public defender and Legal Services Agency staff attorney

Kinlaw earned his bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina in 1975 and his J.D. from USC School of Law in 1978

The resolution directs that a copy be presented to the Honorable Alex Kinlaw Jr. to wish him continued success and happiness in retirement
