Recognizes and commends the Honorable Donald Jeffrey Simons, Richland County Magistrate Judge, upon his retirement effective June 30, 2025

Judge Simons was appointed by the South Carolina General Assembly in 1992 as magistrate judge for Richland County, serving as the Eastover magistrate and as chief magistrate for eight years

Prior to his judicial career, he founded and operated DJ Simons Construction Company Inc. from 1977 to 1994 and served on the South Carolina State Fire Commission and Richland-Lexington County Airport Commission

Led the planning and construction oversight of the Richland County Decker Center, which houses the Magistrate Central Court, Sheriff's Department Substation, and Master in Equity Office

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Judge Simons to wish him continued success in retirement
